Wedding Stories

As a wedding photographer I'm a story teller - here's a collection of some of my favourite wedding stories

Jo & Ali

A gorgeous short wedding dress, very cool nails, a beautiful church, an orange VW campervan, a willow tree to shelter from the rain, a marquee full of bunting, batman cake toppers, a silent disco with rival bride & groom playlists, pink flipflops, sunset by the river and a magical walk through a wood full of fairy-lights

Lizzie & David

A perfect pair of socks (with a secret message), the church the bride’s parents were married in with soaring scaffolding like an art installation, a green gazebo and a picturesque alcove, a walk in the park then a surprise confetti greeting, speeches with highlighted index card cues, love and laughter and a private first dance under a chandelier

Marta & Marcus

A beautiful red-haired bride, a vintage engagement ring, a tea-length wedding dress with pockets and a Liberty print theme, a ceremony in the groom's university college chapel conducted by his dad, love in the flowers, felt-tip portraits by a nephew, a guest appearance by 'Mrs Bunny', an incredible cake of cheeses, a big band (with the groom blowing his own trumpet) and dancing late into the night

Dana & Eoin

An Irish-American wedding, a long lace gown and special gift cuff-links, passing a note through a door before the ceremony, the stunning US Naval Academy Chapel where the bride's parents were married and a sunlight filled reception at Ogle Hall, wonderful speeches and golden evening light before live music and dancing

Carli & Luke

A jewelled dress and orange theme, talented family making the button holes and the bride herself making the cake, a gorgeous ring bearer and intimate ceremony at Lauderdale House, three hilarious best men complete with gold sparkly jackets, a reception full of smiles and laughter and some perfect golden light for photos with their little boy

Jen & Will

Jen & Will's fun and fabulous barn wedding at The Priory in Little Wymondley. They had garden games and even a bouncy castle for their guests to enjoy in the sunshine, and Jen performed with her band in the evening - what a rock 'n' roll bride!

Elly & James

A lilac wedding dress to frame the tattoo on her back, mix and match bridesmaid dresses and white and purple flowers, a first look in a Tudor courtyard so they could walk down the aisle together at Fulham Palace, outdoor drinks and a walk in the walled garden, a speech from the bride and a tower of cupcakes, drinks by candlelight in the book-lined drawing room then dancing and laughter with a great band

Niamh & Matt

An Irish wedding in London, the church the groom's parents got married in, and a Priest a close friend of the bride's mother flew over from Ireland to perform the ceremony, a brief rain shower then a walk in Waterlow Park before celebrations and Cuban music at the Prince Albert in Camden
